The World Beer Tour started as a personal habit. It became something worth sharing.
My name is Brad. I'm a traveller who found himself, somewhere along the way, planning holidays around breweries — and realising that wasn't strange at all. It was actually the best way to travel.
It started simply enough. I'd book a trip, start researching the destination, and almost without thinking I'd find myself looking up craft breweries, local taprooms, historic beer halls. Not instead of the usual sights — alongside them. A brewery visit became a way into a neighbourhood I wouldn't have found otherwise. A local pint became a conversation with someone who'd lived there their whole life. The beer started pointing me toward the places.
Before long, breweries weren't an afterthought on my itineraries. They were the itinerary. I'd build a day around a brewery district the way someone else might build it around a museum quarter. I started keeping notes — which taprooms were worth the detour, which cities punched above their weight for craft beer, which historic breweries had been operating for centuries and why that mattered. The research habit became a travel habit. The travel habit became this.

What struck me, talking to other travellers and beer lovers, was how many people were doing the same thing quietly — researching brewery maps before flights, adding taproom stops between galleries and landmarks, hunting down a specific regional style they'd read about somewhere. There was an appetite for this kind of travel. It just hadn't been given a proper home.
That's what The World Beer Tour is. A resource built for people who travel with genuine curiosity — about the places they're going, the cultures they're stepping into, and yes, the beer being brewed there. Because great beer is almost always a local story. It reflects the water, the grain, the climate, the history of a place. Drinking well while you travel isn't indulgence. It's a form of paying attention.

My hope is straightforward: that this gives people with similar interests a reason to go somewhere they might not have otherwise considered, or a better way to explore a place they were already heading to. To travel more, see more beautiful parts of the world, and drink great local beer along the way.
